Eaglets get Banded today!

Thought I would share... cuz they are so cute. This year the Norfolk Botanical Gardens welcomed 3 healthy Eaglets in late March. Today, they were taken out of the nest to be vet checked and banded. Here is a link to the live EagleCam. There is also a link to the left that will show them being taken out and measured, examined and banded. They are so cute. Heaven Sent!

To see the banding video...see right where it says latest update - Video: Eaglet Banding

Enjoy!

Guess you are gonna have to check on them tomorrow... its getting dark and chilly.
They have had a rough day. It took the parents a little over an hour to return once the chicks were placed back in the nest and even then they were not fed. They did not get fed until around 3 p.m. and then again at 5:45 p.m.

The parents just returned to the nest. Its 7:58.

I can't believe no one has watched this or commented. You get to watch both of the parents feeding and caring for these guys. Did my link work? The best time to watch is between 1-6 p.m (eastern standard time). It is truly amazing.
This Live Web Cam is one of the best I have seen... and its right down the street.

Kelly - I visited my Dad last weekend and we went to the Botanical Gardens. We checked the telescope they have set up there but did not see the babies. But we saw them on the monitor in the visitors center. So cute! And so neat to see so many folks interested in them - there was a line for the telescope :)
