Ha ha! Good call Matt. I amend my comment to the only native parrot to the United States was the Carolina Parakeet.

There are a bunch of parrots in Central America (if it is Central America, why do we also call it North America? That's messed up!)

We also used to have the Thick-billed Parrot ( Thick-billed Parrot - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ).

I hadn't heard of that one before, which I find odd given my line of work. The Wiki link doesn't give a source for the info on the bird in Arizona. I'll have to do some research!

The thick billed parrot hasn't been proven as a native parrot to the US, although it is found in Arizona. Go figure.
