In Nicaragua I saw some conures (definitely conures but too far away to identify what species for sure), amazons, and a scarlet macaw.

I love this thread! Its really neat to see pics of these beautiful parrots in the wild. I loved the pic of the quakers-i just wanna scoop them all up and give them kisses lol :) I'm in New York, and am not in the city that much, and have never seen a wild quaker. If i do more traveling, I will definitly keep my eyes peeled for wild parrots. Its really neat to see backyard birdfeeder pics from australia. Wish i could look out into my backyard and see some cockatoos and other beautiful parrots :)

In Canada you can see Cardinals, kingfischers, Bluejays, Robins (no not the Baseball Teams) Woodpeckers (no not Woody) and many other beautiful birds that are not seen elsewhere, granted they are not parrots but winged friends none the less.

I've seen a flock of blue and gold macaws in Coral Gables, FL. We think they got loose in 1992 after hurricane Andrew. Flocks of wild Amazons routinely fly over my in-laws house at dusk in the summer, and at my farm, my first 2 birds, Polly and Ringo, two red headed and green bodied parrots of some sort, just decided to stay and hang out with us and the chickens. I've seen unknown parrots in the Amazon by the border of Peru and Brazil, and have unfortunately seen them for sale to tourists on the beaches of the Dominican Republic (about 20 yrs ago). If you visit Florida in the deep summer, lots of birds from the Southern hemisphere spend time there, and it's off season so it's cheaper for those that don't have peeps there.

Beautiful, aren't they? I think their colours are under appreciated! The lime greens and almost turquoise blues are very eye-catching.
I just saw my first long-billed corellas, pretty sure I've seem them before but couldn't confirm it. Just as cheeky as the little corellas.
