I Could Just Cry
Yall, I feel so sorry for one of my outside birdies. Its one of my female house finches. She has conjunctivitis and cant even see. We have a bird rehabilitator that lives here thats been it for over 25 years from everything from hummingbirds to hawks, and I used to help her too. But anywho she wants me to catch the bird and keep a hold of her until tomorrow and she is going to treat her for it.
Which is a good thing cuz i dont have the money to get the anti-biotics. Im definitely going to keep her far far away from my budgie too thats for sure. At first I thought her eyes had been poked out or something, but then I got a closer look and she has an infection bad and its been getting cold here at night and there is no way she will survive if something isnt done. I was wondering why all the other birds were staying clear of her...now I know why... the poor thing. So yall keep your fingers crossed for her that I am able to catch her (cuz I can walk right up to her and dont worry i will wash my hands thoroughly with anti-bacterial soap before handling my budgie) and that she is able to recover from this and be released again. It would break my heart to lose one of my birdies :(

Thank you, I am having a heck of a time catching her...Im not even sure i will be able to. I was able to walk right up to her earlier, now its like she can sense me coming and jumps up on top of the house...
A shame I dont have a way of rigging hte feeder where i can snag her without walking up on her, but I'll just keep trying.
