Slayed Legs

Posted 08-03-2008 at 06:58 PM by blbadgley
On July 29th 2008 we discoverd that our 2 baby lovebirds had splayed legs. Avter searching the internet we came up with a solution that seems to be working. We took retangle cosmetic sponges and put 2 holes in in and put the babies legs through and pushed the sponges up as far as they could go. Then after a couple of days the feet began gripping and we took off the sponges and exercised the little legs and put new sponges on. To straighten our the feet we used pipe cleaners. Most information said to use dental floss, yarn or rubber bands all of which could cut of the circulation to the feet. We will change every thing today again and check to see the progress. I think they will only have to wear the braces for a few more days. I am hand feeding them with the 2 parrotlet babies and they all get along great.
