The little Grey bird in a Window
On a very dismal and depressing day
A little Grey bird in a window came and sang to me a song
It picked me up and took me away
And for a moment all my pains were gone
A very dear friend that I have neglected
Sent to me a gift of love my way
And into it her heart she poured totally unexpected
So that I may see it every day
Forever and a day it shall be mine
For it speaks to me as if to tell a story …
“Through me light will always shine
So that you may see the world in all it’s glory.”
And the darkness lifted and all was fine
As light entered and chased the ghosts away
And once again light and life were finally mine
For a little Grey bird in a window sang a song to me this day.
