Sounds from the Soul
Many times throughout our History
Words of wisdom have been heard
And it really is no mystery
That the most profound of any word
Should not come from Man in all his Vanity
But from the beak of a bird
For they do not suffer our insanity
And ring true when they are heard
“What are you doing,” and “How are you today”
Slide glibly across our lips without any thought
But when our Parrots to us this say
It is with an alacrity that can’t be bought
Some find it hard to say these words every day
Something that’s so simple to do
And that’s to say
That “I love you”
To have heard it from a Parrots beak
To hear it with a start
We understand that they can speak
But they mean it from the heart.
So the wisest words that all men seek
The words that make the world go round
Can be found at the tip of your Parrots beak
Where only love and wisdom can be found
