Good Progress?

I think we're making some good progress with our Budgie. As of this Saturday, he will have been with us for 2 weeks. Today we got him to eat millet from our hand Do you guys think that it is a good idea to only offer him millet and treats from our hand to tame him (as long as he eats some)? He still flutters occassionally when we have our hand in the cage, but as long as we're calm and talk to him, we can get our hand right next to him, but we have not tried to touch or handle him, we thought it might be a bit soon for that. From experienced bird owners, are we on the right track so far?

Sounds like you've been taking things slow, and nice and easy! Keep it up and your baby will come around!

We also found out that he likes Kelly Clarkson music I usually put music on while I clean and today I put on songs by Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani - and he prefers Kelly! He does all kinds of new chirps and whistles when her songs come on, nothing for Gwen though
