Only 1 fertile egg, remove the other eggs?

I candled the budgie's eggs today, and realized that only one out of five eggs is fertile. Inside there was a well developed embryo, maybe 10-12 days (and alive too, it was moving inside). All other eggs showed no sign of life inside. the 2 layed before were gone bad, and the other 2, which should be at least 7 days old, didn't develop too (last egg was layed november 25).

My question is, if this chick is going to hatch and survive, should i remove the other eggs? My fear is that this action could cause the hen to leave the nest, or just lay more to complete her clutch, and not feed the chick, or by leaving them there, she will countinue brooding them, and again not feed the chick.... plz tell me what to do............................???

It would probably be a good idea to leave the eggs in there so that the eggs would help keep the chick warm when mother is off the nest. After two weeks of the chick being born, you should be able to safely remove them.

Yes you NEED to leave the eggs. Removing them would cause a lot of stress for her and she'll think something got into the nest and she will destroy the fertile egg. Once the chick is 1-2 weeks old you should be able to safely remove the infertile eggs.

Will be breeding bourks once I get boxes and I breed keets now, tiels have boxes, but males have no intrest in female and females have no intrest in males.
