English Budgies hard to find

I live in South FL and am having a tough time finding a local store or breeder that carry English Budgies. Why are they so hard to come by? Does anyone know of a store or breeder in Eastern South FL that carry English Budgies at this time? I found one that had them at $175 which is ridiculous because Brenda's Birds had them at $35 to $55 (haven't been able to get them at this time). The store that had them at $175 are very over priced anyway. They seem to hike up prices I guess because of the location. So I am trying to find them at a resonable $. In addition, if I had them shipped, how would that work exactly? Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks for any info anyone can give.

Pure english are hard to find here as well. Most of the ones around here are half or less english and they want twice the ammount for them here in NY. Around here a budgie goes for 14-17 dollars and I've seen half english being sold for 37 dollars. I know a lot of people ship parrots viva the airlines. But finches can be shipped through the PO. I ship pigeons and chickens that way as well. But with budgies and tiels and stuff like that, they could chew a hole in the box and get out. So I think that if you put wire inside the shipping boxes that would prevent them from getting out.

In the nestbox: 3 pair of keets working the box. In the Incubator: 4 dozen duck eggs and some chicken eggs. In the brooder: XL cochins. Will be breeding bourks once I get boxes and I breed keets now, tiels have boxes, but males have no intrest in female and females have no intrest in males.
