So Monica, last time you saw Peekaboo, you thought for sure a male. Do you still?

I'm sure that they enjoy tricking us! Peekaboo appears to be a female in that photo, but if I say female I'm afraid that Peekaboo is going to turn around and appear male!

I'd say you can try sexing via behavoir and vocalness, though this isn't always easy as I have a female who is more vocal than one of my males!

It could just be good upbringing, but Peek is very gently to me anyway compared to Sunny. Doesn't bite hard when he/she has bitten which is almost never. both seem to be equally vocal, both say "pretty bird" and carry on all sorts of conversations.

I was suspicious of this cere, cause it didn't appear as waxy as most males do. it was more crusty. but Peek is still a baby. 8 mos.

So, you'd say female huh? well, that would certainly ease my worry of any unplanned clutches later on!!!

With that last pic I'm deffinately leaning more towards female, though females don't normally aquire a crusty brown cere before they are a year old unless put into a breeding situation, so I'd say this case with Peek is quite unique!

If a male has a tan cere, it isn't necessarily waxy, but then again I've never been able to see a male with a tan cere... only in photos!

Hhhmm.... maybe this will be a good case for a DNA sexing! I'm very very curious!

Male no doubt! I actually have a male though, he's pretty much a hermit now-a-days and prefers to keep to himself, however he's got a little girl that's following him around (much to his displeasure!) But this male, Cosmo, he's got a pretty nasty bite when he feels the need to bite! Males can be just as nasty as females if they whish, but normally tend to be sweeter!
