combining birds into one cage

I have two sets of parakeets both sets have one female and one male and I would like to put them into one cage but not sure if this in a good idea or not??? Help...

No its not a good idea if they are not use to having cagemates.

If the cage you are putting them in is very large, and none of the birds have been inside it before, or not for a few weeks, then it may be fine. You would have to introduce all the birds to the one cage at the same time, and make sure there is no fighting amongst the budgies...
