Talking Finally - He likes to bath!

Since I got Laker a month & a half ago he has run around the cage when I misted him - trying to avoid the whole thing. He was going thru a molt & I was sure he'd like it if he gave it a try. I didn't try it every day - maybe 3 times a week.
But today he actually pressed himself against the cage & fluttered his wings so he could get wetter!

I'm not too sure about the facial expression here - but honestly he was having fun!

Wish I had a photo of the bath but the bars & the water were not great for the camera. Maybe we'll graduate to a bath instead of a shower. So far he just watches my hand bath.

Good job Laker! See, it wasn't that bad! Jerry took a loooong time to come around to everything like bathing - I knew Laker would eventually come around too

Yeah, that reminds me, when I misted my birds, their feathers pretty much looked like a can of black paint exploded on them too. Then they got back to normal looking as vibrant as ever. Anyone know why?

At a lil over a year in her new home ( I don't have a hatch date - Paulie's a petsmart birdie) Paulie still HATES to take baths or get misted. I guess some just don't like it?

Ohhh, he looks so cute all wet!

PeekaBoo loves his bath from the faucet. I turn the water on slowly and he runs down my arm. He loves when I splash him. He used to go into a dish to bathe, but the last year he won't do it anymore, and he never had a bad experience from it, so I have no clue why he stopped.
