Geo is most likely still getting use to everything. He is most likely drinking water when you are not watching. I went thought he same thing with Indy - never saw him drink water for I believe a week or more.
It takes some birds awhile to get use to eating fruits and veggies. Just keep offering it to him even if he doesn't eat it the first couple of times. And try different things like broccoli, cauliflower, carrot tops, apples, etc. There are also receipes for 'birdie bread' on BB - this is a great way to sneak in some veggies. The toy sounds wonderful - colorful and with a bell! Budgies love bells. I would leave the toy in the cage for him. He may not play with it right way but he will in time, it is something new to him. I saw your other post with Geo's pictures and how he loves his swing. When I got Indy - he didn't go NEAR his swing. In fact he mainly stayed on one side of the cage for the first two weeks. Now he sleeps on the swing each night. It was just a matter of time before he got use to everything. Your Geo is getting use to A LOT of new things!! New cage, toys, people, etc. It will take awhile for him to warm up to everything. Just like he is getting use to your hand he will get used to everything else.

Rach is right!
Rach is right. Some birds are very frightened when you first bring them home.
If you do not see the water going down, mabye try the same water holder as he had where you got him? Could be this one is unfamiliar and he is afraid of it,. He will come around,

I agree with Rach and Diana. And to add, budgies do not drink much. You won't see a huge drop in water level, if any change. And like they have said, he is probably drinking when you are not watching - sometimes they are scared to eat or drink in the beginning when you're watching. Once he gets more and more comfortable in his home I'm sure you will see him drink once and awhile. They can get dehydrated quickly and if he wasn't drinking at all you would know because he would get sick very fast.

Budgies are desert creatures. He will drink. I never really noticed the water level go down much for my birds. He's been ALIVE for a week--he couldn't go that long without drinking. Keep watching him. Also, make sure his perches are far enough away from his water that droppings aren't getting into the water.
Good luck!

Good. It probably won't go down much, but at least you've noticed it.
