Question What does it mean when....

What does it mean when I have Cayman on my hand and I'm scritchng his tummy and he turns his head completely around? Does he finally trust me or is this something else? he sits on my finger for several minutes at a time before flying away. His flying skills are improveing as well!

~. If budgies could speak their mind they would say "... I am disgusted... bring me more Millet...".~

Ummmm no it was a bit more "poltergeist-ish" than that. He turned his head completely 180 from normal position...lol. Sorry for the poor typing earlier...he was on my finger as I typed one-handed.

If he likes being pet, I'm sure its just for pleasure and a way of showing he likes it. No worries.

I wouldn't say "like" per se. It seems more that he tolerates it as I jabber in an excited voice and softly scritch him on his tummy. I was just wondering if it meant he could trust me or something.
If he turns his back to me when I come near the cage...is he ignoring me or is he getting ready to fly or something?

Sleepy

Usually a budgie turns his head that way when he is sleeping!
I would say he trusts you very much, and when you scratch him it is soothing and he wants to sleep!

If you go to the cage and he turns his back to you...........he does not want to play Budgies are like cats.........very independent, it is usually on their terms when playtime is!
