are maple branches safe?
I've got a maple branch rigged so the birds(perry and lucy) can climb back up to their cage. Is maple safe for them? They chew at the bark at the cut ends of the branch. I just wanted to ask the experts! I don't want to poison them! BTW are there any common tree's that ARE bad for them? Want to make sure to steer clear of those! ..thanks bob

What type of maple do you have??? I know that there are two types of maple that are bad for birds, however, another species of maple tree is fine...
Some good tree branches to use are those of fruit trees... There are lists somewhere around here, though can't look for them now. Hopefully someone else may be able to show them for you.
