My Budgie Speaks In Context

Hi All

I have a 1 yr old Budgie named Abbey.
He is just amazing. He talks all the time about all kinds of things!
We joined another group called TheBudgieResearch group and he has learned so much from that site! They have over 20 budgies that talk on that site

Abbey has learned so many things.......He is even learning the alphabet.
My Budgie is so smart he even answers my questions sometimes.

My budgie is learning the alphabet.
He says A is for Abbey, B is for Budgie, D is for DDusty!
He is skipping C and stutters with his D.
Is that not too cute!

Smile Thanks For Listening

Hi
Thanks for listening to my Abbey!
He loves it when people can hear me!
After he says a sentence, you can hear him say " Do you hear me Eh"!Or " I hope you heard Me?"!
Alot of my friends do not believe me until they hear him!

I now record alot to share with the other group I belong to (budgieresearch) and my friends.

What a great bird Abbey must be! Congrats! My little boy, Coby is also learning to talk -- so far he is mostly learning things like - "Fuzzy Wazzy was a bird, Fuzzy Wazzy wasn't fuzzy was he!" Honestly he says the whole thing! He seems to like rhymes. He also says "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, how many peppers did Peter Piper pick?"
But as smart as he is I just can't get him to take a bath! :aiwebs_01

He is only 9 mons. old and we have had him 4 months. It just amazes me how smart and cute these little guys are! I'll have to check out the budgieresearch site and listen to Abbey.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. :eusa_clap

Attached (I hope!) is Coby waving Hi and the spoiled baby in his cage. He loves the big cage and plays on all levels of it!!

Hi Coby's Mom

Hi
Your budgie sounds like alot of fun too!
Abbey hates his bathtub but believe it or not loves mine!
When I have a bath he will fly in and land on my leg or tummy and have a bath with me!

I have had budgies off and on my whole life, but not one was like this one!
I have a 16 yr old cat as well and Abbey just loves him.

Every morning Abbeys says "I love you kitty"

You should check out budgieresearch Abbey has learned alot of her talking working with that site.

Wow Abbey is beautiful! What gorgeous coloring! It looks like a girl, but maybe hard to tell from the lighting in the picture.

I have taken Coby in the shower. He does like that, but just won't take a bath in a bowl. I've tried putting greens in it, his toys, etc. I hope as he gets older it will become more natural for him.

Thanks for showing us the picture!

Carol

Abbey is Mister Abbey LOL

Hi Carol

I thought Abbey was a girl for awhile too, because of his cere coloring.
He is a GoldenFaced Cobalt recessive pied.......In these budgies if the cere is a purplish tan it means its a BOY.....so now he is Mister Abbey LOL.

Your birdies are beautiful too!

This Picture really does not show his colours very well!
