Question what does this mean? is he sick?!

my budgie, quin, is starting to open and close his mouth when he breaths, like hes gasping for air. he seems fine, he sings, and chirps and plays. i dont think this is normal though. any ideas?

no, its not really a yawn. its just the beak moving, not the neck. he always does it over and over. but stops when someone or something caches his attention...

Mine does that sometimes! I have no idea why either, but it's really weird because I've never had a budgie who does that before. I've had him nearly a year now and it hasn't developed into any sickness so I think it's just something he does? Keep an eye on your budgie anyway - I don't know what it is or even if it's the same as my Lucki's - it just sounds similar. Budgies are very subseptible to respiratory illnesses so it pays to keep an eye on anything unusual.
