i'm not sure but i think it's at least 1 year of age. do you ask because you want to breed budgies? if so, i wouldn't encourage this because of all of the possible medical complications that can arise and the fact that you would be adding to the overpopulation of these birds.

I'm already breeding budgies. I have 30-35 youngs right now in my cage. At the end of the season, i will sell some and i will exchange some others to bring new blood in the cage.

1 year is the recommendation as a minimum. Usually older is recommended.

In the wild , budgies are sexually mature and ready to find mates at SIX months of age.

If anyone looks at where "Breeder" is from, they'll see that "Breeder" is from Cyprus. Anyone know where that is????

(If I have it right)
Cyprus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Cyprus, officially the Republic of Cyprus, is a Eurasian island country situated in the eastern Mediterranean --- Cyprus is the Mediterranean's third largest island, and one of its most popular tourist destinations, attracting over 2.4 million tourists per year."

I doubt many people here know what the situation of pet birds is over there... here in America, budgies are so overbred that there are not enough suitable homes for them all to go to. I don't know what the mentality of parrot ownership is like in Cyprus, however there are hundreds, if not thousands of parrots here in America/USA that are being neglected, abused, etc. For every bird bred and bought, that's one less spot for a bird who may seriously need a new home. Hence, the anti-breeding.

Looking at your setup, it doesn't look all that bad. The only major thing that I wouldn't do would be to put birds below other birds without some separate way to keep the birds in the above cages from getting the ones below dirty. May do a few other things differently, but that's just me.

Cyprus is an island near the Greek Islands, if that is the Cyprus you mean. Temperate climate.
