I am so happy that Snowy came back!
Tweeter has escaped outside 3 times. We live in a typical mature suburb with lots of trees and neighbours. Each time she would fly from tree to tree, yard to yard, but always keeping her eye on us. She would enjoy her new world for about an hour and then decide that it was time to follow us inside. I am amazed at how comfortable and familiar she seemed with the outside world, she sometimes would fly in high, huge loops circling 3 yards only to return to the same tree she took off from. We give tweeter a lot of attention and freedom in the house so I believe that she is a happy bird and that helped a great deal in her returning every time, just as your bird returned to you. It is probably the most terrifying experience yet at the same time one of the most amazing seeing your little bird out in the big world. |
