Ashling agrees with you Birde!

Update: Topaz started regurgitating for Ashling yesterday. This budgie needs a mate!

New update: Topaz has gone to her new home! I am letting her new owner borrow the travel cage for as long as needed. She has her favourite toy, some gravillea flowers and grass seed (her fave) and some seed and water of course. Topaz was very interested in the new budgies but I think a little overwhelmed by the new environment. Her new friends are Albus, a very young white budgie with blue markings; and Cornelius, a very old budgie who is green and yellow similar to Topaz. Albus made a sweet little sound when he saw Topaz so I am hoping they will hit it off.
I took a look at a growth around Albus' mouth. Looked to me like scaly face so she's taking him to the vet soon. I told her about the treatment (I have treated it myself when I was around 10) and to keep him away from the other budgies. They all have separate cages anyway so that should be ok. Finally Topaz will have some friends her own size who talk her language! I am happy for her.
I'm also glad Ashling won't be displaying any more sexual behaviours due to Topaz' regurgitation. I was so scared she'd start laying eggs and become egg bound. Right now she is sitting outside Peanut's cage while he is yelling angrily at her and saying "Hello pretty pretty pretty!" I don't think they've even noticed Topaz has gone!

Thanks birde. Just to add, the blue headed one is a "Swainson's" or "Blue Mountain" rainbow lorikeet (there is a ridiculous amount of rainbow subspecies!)

Honestly, I miss Topaz but I swear the others don't even know she's gone! Peanut has a cage to himself so he is thoroughly enjoying his well deserved peace (and new toys) and Ashling has so much more free time now that she doesn't spend it snogging Topaz! I'll check in and see how Topaz is going after a week to settle in.
