Topaz might be going to a new home!

I finally found the perfect home for little Topaz! An old friend of mine has some tame budgies and is coming to meet Topaz sometime soon. I hope they like each other because Topaz will get to be in a cage with another budgie called Curtis and she will finally have a friend her own size! I am so excited for her, she has had a lonely life since her mate died- I'm no substitute for another budgie.

Here she is!

Topaz loves Ashling and fluffs up for scritches- even though Ashling thinks the little budgie is some kind of squeaky toy

Can't forget Peanut!

Here is me taming Topaz down a bit for my friend. She never stops screeching like that, even when she is getting scritches or kisses- I don't know what her deal is, she has always done it! Don't mind my horrible commentary... Topaz doesn't listen to a word I say

Thats awesome. Your flock looks like they have become buds (mates) pretty quickly or have they always gotten along so well?
I am still personally fond of the duck... especially when he/she is wearing the tutu.

I hope so too... we'll have to see what happens!

Kelly, fortunately they've always been tolerant of each other... It's helpful now that they are in such close quarters together! I just have to watch Ash because she plays with the budgie like she plays with her toys- and the budgie always comes back for more!
Binx is a goose (not literally haha) You should see her with my mum- Binx will waddle up to her, quacking, bob her head up and down, relax her wings, put her tail up in the air and... yeah. She's in love.

Yeah, I have seen Lories in action... they play rough. The Bird Shop up the street has two different tables full of them. All shapes, colors and sizes... and they all screech "come 'ere... come 'ere." When you go up to see them, they all jump on ya' and attack your ears, hair, jewelry buttons...etc. Once one jumps on ya' they all do. It takes more than one person to help you get them all off of you. They are funny little critters though. They LOVE the water. They will put a Dog Bowl of water on their play stands and they just dive right in... all of them... all at once. Its a mess. Funny to watch.

hahaha! You describe them like they are flesh eating aliens :p That is why I'd love to have a whole bunch of lories... but at the same time why I would NOT! Anyway, I'm glad you can see little Topaz's dilemma! I'll be happy when she can cuddle up to something that won't suddenly put a foot on her face and laugh at her...
