2x2x2m would be ideal but smaller would be acceptable. Cages about:

70 cm lenght
60 cm height
40 cm depth

should be alright for a pair.

size of the aviary: as large as possible!! enough room so that they can fly large distances.

temperature: that's way too hot!! don't keep them outside in that temperature. budgies will be ok in temperatures us humans are comfortable in, so 92 - 120 Fahrenheit is WAY TOO HOT!!! keep them indoors and provide them with lots of cool/cold water. also, if you see signs that they are in distress from the heat, a sure sign is when they have their wings slightly away from their bodies, make sure you cool them down immediately: give them cool/cold water and/or wet food, and even provide them with a fan if you have to.

yeah, keep them in your room if that is the coolest place in the house. do you mean you're going to have the 15" x 6" x 7" aviary in your room or on your farm? if it's going to be on your farm, i still don't think it's going to be cool enough for them even with all of the plants.

also, don't worry that you can't spend a lot of time with them anymore; they have company so they should be fine with minimal human contact. but, if you want to keep them tame, you have to interact with them everyday for a significant amount of time. and, if they won't be out of their cage a lot now, please get them the biggest cage possible so that they can still be very active.

Good Luck

I'm going to slightly disagree about the temperatures budgies can tolerate... they are, after all, from very hot regions of Australia! I'm thinking the temperature ranges in the interior of Australia are going to be as hot or hotter as those in Pakistan. But, they would need time to adjust to high temperatures and they would need lots of shade and water.

Shahrez, I know nothing about bird-keeping in Pakistan, but do you know of others in your area that keep their birds outdoors? If it works for them, it might work for you.

I had three pairs of budgies in a large cage 18" deep x 36" tall x 5' long for a while, they seemed to do just fine. Eventually moved them, along with three pairs of cockatiels, to a walk-in aviary which was about 4' deep x 6 1/2' tall x 6' long, that also worked well. Most important thing is that they have some room to fly back and forth, so the length should be at least three feet long, and better if it's four or five feet.

Shahrez what are things like with water restrictions in Pakistan? if you can paint the exterior of the aviary white, insulate the top from the outside, make sure there is plenty of shade and set up a sprayer system that on those really awful days you put on every few hours you should be fine. Provide a low container of water on the bottom of the aviary for bathing (add icecubes if the water gets hot). if they aren't coping with the heat (panting, wings out) then be prepared to bring them inside during the worse part of the day. It is possible but you're really going to have to watch and monitor during that nasty heatwave session and be prepared to bring them in if they aren't coping. I lost a couple of lovebirds here when it got to 115F plus last summer for a couple of weeks. My other birds out in aviaries coped but I was spraying every few hours.

if there is another alternate (ie small inside aviary) then I'd go with it.
