My 2 New Budgies

My flock keeps getting bigger and bigger, lol.

On Sunday I went and bought 2 budgies - a male and female to breed. I got them home, put them in the cage in the lounge room where they would be quarantined. I sat there watching them for ages, the female went down to eat and it was then I seen her very very swollen vent. I rang up the pet store and told the lady and she said she's egg bound and to keep her warm and bring her straight back to the pet store tomorrow morning where she would then be taken to the Avian Vet.

So I took her back this morning and they put her in a hospital cage with a heating pad ready to be taken to see the Avian Vet and be fixed up. The woman said I can choose any budgie I want and I chose another female, and bought her home and put her in with Gabriel (the male I got) and now they're in quarantine.

Before anyone says it, yes, the male has 'scaly face' and I'm taking him to the avian vet so I can have both my 2 new budgies treated. (both to be safe)

Gabriel is pretty tame, he sits on your finger, but the female is still skittish so gonna try in a few more days and see if she'll step up/eat millet from my hand.
