My Budgie like to Climb Around the Cage, But........

but, it messes up its tail. When it climbs, it moves its tail forward and the bars of the cages make it messy and messed up.

Does any one have experience with this and how to "cure" it?

Oh boy do i have experienced that *sigh* my female CAG sometimes wrestle toys on the bottom of the cage and also slide down the bars with tail sticking out between them, making it a total mess.
I have long since resigned and accepted the fact that they do that - period. Unless you want to keep them in a huge fish tank you'd better get used to it too ;)

What's a CGA?

It's just not attractive having a messed up tail all the time. Maybe I should swap it with another budgie from a petshop.

Would changing the type of cage help? You know.. if you brought one where the bars slanted in a different direction?

I doubt it. I have/had cages with horizontal as well as vertical bars and they manage to ruffle their tails regardless :)
