I am so sad...

When I woke up this morning my Cobalt Blue Male Georgie-O was laying at the bottom of the cage dead.

He seemed fine yesterday and all of the others seem fine. I dont know what happened to him.

I'm so sorry. Losing a baby is awful. Know that his final time on earth was spent happy surrounded by friends.

Im so sorry to hear of your loss - this is sometimes why quarantine is such an important step when bringing birds home. They can carry things that you might not be able to see and then infect the other birds. In most cases one doesnt know the bird is sick until it is too late. I hope that it was not a serious illness that will infect your other birds, but there is no way of knowing without a necropsy being done.

He hasnt been near my big birds, only with the other budgies. He was one of 6 that I bought from the same breeder at the same time. Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda. Doesnt exactly bring HIM back.

Oh, that's sad to lose him. He was a gorgeous color. How old was he? Are you going to have a necropsy done to determine the cause of death?

Amanda I hope I didnt upset you with what I said, I only wanted to try and give an explanation of what might have happened, I know it doesnt bring him back. Sometimes these things just happen, I lost my first lovebird to a random incident and my other two were a freak accident - it was horrible. I know these things are not easy, I miss my lovebirds every day. I dont think I can bring another one into my home, I just miss my boys. I hope each day gets easier for you ((hugs)).
