Larger parrots poops a lot more and are loud! You better have a big house or a backyard to put the bird there.

With budgie(s), you can put them anywhere in the house and still watch a movie, talk on the phone, do tax return, etc. and no problem. With larger parrot, you will have huge problem doing those things.

Having a peacful afternoon nap with a larger parrot in the house, forget it.

Tell us which larger parrots are you considering.

Binky loves to be handled and we got her when she was just over a year old. Budgies are a very social bird. In a group they are likely to bond slowly with non-feathered friends, but as a single bird YOU become family. The need to bond is strong, use the force!
