Can the bigger english budgie breed with the smaller australian one?

The "english" and the "australian" budgies are the same species. In fact, you might even say that the english budgies are a subspecies, because they were bred specifically for their size and larger crests, but they all originally came from Australia.

I suspect that one of my budgies has English in her because she's a bit heavier set than the others and is just shaped differently, more like the English style ones. No big puffy head though.

Mines tiny.. all Australian I'd say!! I used to have a huge english one though! I think the english ones are very common in NZ, but you can easily get both.
