So, feeding them rats is okay. What about rabbits, cats, small size dogs?

its true. Rats are smart, affectionate, playful. Most people don't see that, and its their loss. about the feeding small dogs, cats and rabbits.. uhh, i agree with Lori. I, personally could not do it because i would feel bad for the other animals and want to save them, but a snake needs to eat, too. Dogs and cats may not be what the need to eat in the wild, but whatever they do need they should have it provided to them.

Shadow, just like I said, people DO feed rabbits, and also, the "largest snake in the world" eats dogs. Just because you choose it as your pet, doesn't mean other animals don't use it as food. I LOVE rats too and have had pet ones, I don't feed ALIVE rats and mice to my snake, I buy them already killed because I don't want to see them die, but I own a snake and it's my duty to give her what she needs.
