I'd love to feed my next door neighbours children to a large Anaconda. Do you think that would be legal too? They'd probably never find out what happened to their kids...

I wouldn't feed a budgie to a snake. Budgies are delicious when grilled bbq style on a kabob!

There ARE certain species of snake that prefer eating birds (particularly tree dwelling ones) But for the most part, They are fed chicks (and then chickens) because those can be bought for pennies compared to a budgie. If someone has enough money and stupidity to feed a budgie to a snake, then they are too rich and too dumb for their own good. Most other kinds of snakes won't eat something that it doesn't recognize as food and I know from experience that snakes like mine (ball python) would be TERRIFIED of a fluttery little budgie screaming and flapping around in the tank. They like quiet, slower, easier to catch food. Furthermore, I don't know why this thread hasn't been locked yet, as I don't see how it's contributing anything to the forum as a whole, I was expecting it to be locked today, but I am not a moderator and so I have no say in the matter.

You know, this reminds me a lot of a thread on a couple of forums I saw just yesterday, an iguana forum, and a different budgie forum(which I am not a member of). They were talking about people eating iguanas and something about getting a LOT of budgies and the resulting fights, and needless to say, this thread handled this a lot better than the other ones did, there was name calling and angry people and lots of mod warnings, it was crazy, lol. Nice to know I chose wisely when choosing my bird care forum *grouphug* heehee
