Talking Cage Help!

Which cage is better for my Cockatiel? Cage 1 or cage 2? He currently resides in cage 1. But cage 2 is a 3 tiered cage system, so he would be living under the Parakeets near a window.

Thanks in advance for voting and giving your input.

Oh and yes my Parakeets are spoiled rotten, but so is Zeus! He just prefers playing with cat toys at the bottom of his cage rather than hanging toys.

CAGE 1: 32x22x14 the larger top area and then 32x16x14 on the bottom area.

CAGE 2: 22x14x16

Frankly, I don't like cage one (the design... ugh.... sry but I think they are more designed for humans than birds!), and cage two seems too small for a tiel.

Given a choice though, I think I might use the first one since it's larger....

Both are too small for a cockatiel.

I agree, he needs something much larger than either of those.

I have something larger but the bars are pretty widely spaced... I was afraid he might get his head stuck.

Oh and he's out of his cage 99% of the time, he only goes in it to sleep and to eat. What kind of a cage is good for a Cockatiel?

I agree, cages are made for humans to look at, not for the birds comfort.

I definately agree both of these cages are to small for a tiel. But, I guess it is alright if he is getting LOTS of out of cage time for Excercise!
I would go with which ever one is larger...which seems to be the first one.

Bar spacing is an inch and a half wide. Here's a pic. It's a little shorter than the other cage but much wider and longer. Oh and dont mind the mess in my patio, I'll clean the cage up if we're bringing it in.

The bar spacing are too big. I would go no larger than 1/2 inch.

Thanks Dayna, I'm going to have to buy a bigger cage then!
