Need help deciding on a cage asap.

In an ideal world, all 4 of my tiels would live in harmony in one big cage and then I could put the baby I am keeping in with them as soon as he can. So far Zeke, Sophie, Moe and Chloe get along when out of the cage and I have been looking at cages and came across an opportunity to get a large cage that is 32x32x55 for a decent price. I said ok..sounds good. Of course, it can't be that simpleNow I have a chance to get a cage that is 31x22x39with a playtop for $30 cheaper than the other cage. I know bigger is better but would the smaller of the cages work well for at least 4 tiels? I'm seriously considering getting both of them and then seeing which one I like best but I thought I would see what other's thought first. I'm supposed to go look at the smaller cage tonight...

oops...the other cage is not 31x22x39, that is the size of Zeke and Sophie's cage. It is 34x25x44.

This is just my opinion, but I would go with the bigger cage. I have 2 tiels in the same cage that is about the same size as the smaller one your looking at and I wouldn't put more than one more in there.

I just bought this cage off of eBay (just over 200.00 - including s/h). It is 20x40x36 and it may work for you as well. It's actually a divider cage, but I don't use the divider giving the entire length of the cage for my Green Cheek conure.

I can easily see a few cockatiels in here.

parrot bird Cage Chinchilla Ferret cages stand birds-FD - eBay (item 310030266162 end time Mar-15-08 18:54:56 PDT)

The same seller "Parrot Depot" also offers the same cage at 24x48x36 cage for about 260.00 (includes s/h).

Anyhow, I just thought that I'd mention those to you - just to give you more to consider.
