avian adventures protege cage floor model

I was recently cage shopping for our first bird a green cheek conure and was considering the protege. I found on the company website that they had some floor model, gently used cages for substantially lower than what you can buy them for new. I decided to get the HQ flight cage instead but wanted to pass along this info in case anyone has been wanting a protege and price was a consideration. The owner of the company contacted me last week to say that they still had 3 left for 119.00 includes shipping. Here is her contact info.

I looked at the Protege and messed with it and I was dissapointed. It seems crowded and small for the bar spacing. I suppose a teil or Green cheek could go but it wasnt as easy as it looked to change out (to the playstand) It caught and was just kinda cheaply made IMO. I have had some inexpensive cages in the past but this one was kinda a pain to mess with. I didnt buy it. The way the perch thing is limits you and thats what made it seem crowded with the food cups inside like it is. Unfortunatly there is a DYH Amazon in one at a state run historicle home near here. The toys havent changed in years.
