Cage Decision?

Help! I have been wanting to get a new larger cage for my GCC. He is just over a year and a half and I have had him since he was 4 months old

I have looked at several different cages and now I am down to these. Any suggestions on which you personally think would be the best for him?

The first is a large corner cage with actual cage space dimensions of 36 x 24 x 45. link

The 2nd is a wrought iron playtop with actual cage space dimensions of 24 x 22 x 31. link

The 3rd is dome top wrought iron with actual cage space dimensions of 24 x 22 x 38.5. link

And the 4th is powder coated flat top with actual cage space dimensions of 31 x 21 x 35. link

I am currently leaning towards the dome top because I like that it is off the ground(I have other pets that like to wander around and sniff the cage), has a seed guard, and well... I like dome tops, hehe. Is a seed guard really necessary...? I know they help to keep things clean, but do they really make much of a difference?

What would be the mininum dimensions of a cage if I were to have two GCC?

Thank you SO MUCH.

I like the first three... If you put the cage in a corner space.. the first one would be neat.... but I'm a firm believer in bigger is better, so I would look at space provided too.

Thank you =]

I am a little worried about bar spacing. I'm guessing the biggest I should go with a GCC is 3/4"?

I personally don't like really tall cages with alot of height room and especially the ones that go to the floor - with that being said I would go with 3 or 4, but thats me. As for bar spacing I wouldn't go any larger then 5/8 for a GCC - they are small and have little heads and are very good at squeezing through things and I personally think 3/4 would be a little to big. I always keep my bar spacing no larger then 5/8 for the smaller species.

Hmm. Well, because of bar size, most of those are out of the question.

How about this one?

It is a wrought dome top with 5/8" spacing
Total space of 28" x 20" x 60"
and usable space of 28 x 20 x 38

I have one similar to the 4th one.........in black... Our conure loves it........the flat top makes it easy to put a playgym on the top and let him have easy access to outside of cage. We take him out in the morning and he plays, and goes back when he wants.

I have three of the 4th one - its very versital and perfect for a green cheek - try to find the one with two doors on the front if you can, its a hair bigger and easier to work with. Oh and remember with the corner one you looked at (in case you look again) You can put any cage in a corner but you cant put a corner cage anywhere.
