hey all!

well i am looking into cages now, for my soon to be lovebird or parrotlet. i rearranged my room to fit a new cage...quite comfortably..:) any ideas on cages? the space i have is 35wide, 18 deep and height is not an issue.. i was looking at this one...

Thats a nice cage for either a lovie or a parrotlet. If you are leaning towards a parrotlet, I would recommend buying a cage that you can see, and check the gap size one. I had my male, Tahoe, in a cage that I thought was perfect... until he got his head stuck on top of the grate, between the grate gap and the cage. The gap had been no bigger then my finger and it never even crossed my mind that he could get stuck there. I had a heckuva time finding a decent size cage that had small enough bar spacing and gaps small enough that he couldn't stick his head through.

I think 5/8ths would be fine, its just the gaps.. you know gaps at the corner, gaps between the grate and the cage, that sort of stuff. Like I found lots of cages at say, petsmart, that had perfect bar spacing, but put together they had too many gaps that would have been unsafe.
