I'm bringing home a Pionus this weekend; she comes with her cage but I don't think it's big enough for her. I'm probably going to upgrade it, but what size cage is good for a Pionus?
Apparently she's not a super active bird; and since Pionus beaks are softer than other parrots (?) does she not need as big a cage, and as thick of a bar diameter, as other birds of similar size?
I'm almost thinking I should get her the same cage my sun conure has:
Havana Flight Cage - Medium Bird Cages at Bird Cages
It's a good size for the price and if I'm not dealing with a big macaw or cockatoo beak, the bar size shouldn't be a problem. Only problem I see is that her feet are a lot bigger than Stewie's so maybe thicker/wider spacing would be better for the bars?
Can I see pictures of everyone else's Pionus cages?
