Has any ordered a cage from Dr Fosters and Smith

Hello All,

Looking at the Silverado Dometop Bird Cage from dr fosters and smith.
Wondering if anyone has one of these and if you like it.

We ordered a cage on ebay, no clue what brand it is. But at 8 mths old it's already rusting and paint coming off. This cage is only a play cage in the kitchen so it isn't even lived in all the time. So not worth that cheap price.

Thanks

I've not bought any cages from them but I have bought aquarium supplies and have been very pleased with their service. They have people you can talk to for advice. I am lucky that the shop where I got my birds also has an excellent supply of cages at good prices but if that were not the case I wouldn't hesitate to order a cage from the company you are looking at.

Thanks for the response Tom. I've never ordered anything from this company. Glad to hear they have good customer service, that's a big plus.

Like Tom, I have never purchased a cage from them, but have used them for years for bird and cat supplies. Their service is great and if you call (even with a suggestion, not a complaint) they are quick to offer credit and kind words. Class act, in my book.

I buy food and toys from them all the time and have never had a problem. They tend to be a bit more expensive, but I trust them (though I've never bought cages from them).

The Silverado is a Prevue cage and not much better to avoid rust than some others. Again Drs Foster and Smith is not the best price you can find on that. Watch the shipping unless its free.

I order from them all the time for my dog supplies, but like others said, they can be expensive. I bought a really nice cage from bird.com. They offer FREE shipping. That is a great deal. What is the cage for? What type of bird?

I got my cages from birdcages.com, shipping is free and FAST (although the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired). The prices were the best I could find... and did I mention how fast the shipping was? Fast!

It's nice to hear foster and smith is a good company. I think either way I'll try some toys and treats.

Huntress, thanks for the link. I haven't found that site before.

I've checked jenseits and AndreaSctlnds sites, but am going to check again.

I love to get the best deal but, all this comparisson research can get confusing.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Hello! Like most others here I have ordered numerous supplys from them, however never a cage... But however, I think "RED" ordered one of hers from them... I'd check with her. I've always been VERY pleased with their service, and their live online help.
