Which cage should I get????

I have been looking for Shilo a new cage on Ebay and I can't decide. Any suggestions? I want a cage that is flat ontop, because I have a really nice cage top play perch that I want to put on top of her cage.

I really like the look of this one, but all the bars are vertical, I was thinking I could always hang those flexible ladders around each side. This one measures 31.5"x22"x51"

The I like this one, it is wider, but it isn't as tall, but I think she would prefer wider than taller and I wouldn't use the middle divider, but then too I need to remeasure, because I am not sure if it will fit where I need to put it. Another draw back is this one doesn't have a seed guard. This one is 40"x20"x37.5":

Then there is this one, it is 30"x19"x35":

I like the second one the best, mostly because as you said, it's wider. My tiel loves wider. I don't know what breed of bird Shilo is tho so I'm not sure what they prefer. She is very pretty.

Which one is shilo AND no matter about the verticle bars, I havent met a FID yet that didnt learn to climb BOTH easily and they seem to learn it well plus it has plenty of cross members to aid in climbing. I llike the middle one the best - wider is always better IMO.

Definitly go wider and deeper vs taller. Is it for your Red bellied? How old is s/he?
The taller cages in the past for me have been the cause of injury for many of my baby fids. They climb to the top, play with something and due to not being completely sure footed the fall franticly to the bottom. Usually hurting their chest and wing tips from flapping so franticly.Plus the wider cage alows for more travel space from toy to toy and perch to perch.
I vote #2.

Yes Shilo is my Red Bellied. I am thinking #2, but I still need to rearrange and measure to make sure it will fit. Plus there is a local swamp meet here that a bird vendor comes and sells bird supplies (no birds, just mainly cages, ladders, t-stands and a few toys) at and his prices are usually better than Ebay, so I am going to try and stop by this weekend and see if he has anything suitable. I also found this cage on Ebay, but it is more and plus I don't know how easy it would be to clean. The inside perch can be removed as well and the interior is 32"x32"x37":

A couple things to think about: with that last cage, the pan is going to be odd shaped, so it will be harder to fit newspaper in. I don't think the loss of seed guards is a problem- I used to have guards on all my cages, but they were a waste of space and didn't really help with the mess all that much. Also the guards on those cages look like they simply slide in, so if you bump them they fall off. Out of all the options I like #2 best, you really don't want to go with much of a 'tall' cage cause then the bird will spend the majority of its time on the top and all that space on the bottom will be wasted. I used to have a tall finch cage and I absolutely hated it. Ended up modifying it to be on its side so that it was longer and the buggers had more flying room.

yeah, you can always make a fabric seed guard to fit any cage, they dont fall off, can be laundered, and the bird wont get hurt falling on them.
