cage question

i have a cage that is 13"X20"X20" and im planning to get a Tiel, is this cage big enough if the bird gets alot of time out of the cage? It also has a fancy top ^ <--
( ) <-- Top looks like that
Let me note i jave no pic yet and i can't really post pic(no digital camera)
The neighbor i bought the cage from said she kept a Tiel in this cage

I dont know a ton about tiels, my brother in law has one though, but I wouldnt keep a tiel in anything smaller than this

thats just me personally

Your bird should have enough room for at least 5 perches, A natural wood one (bottlebrush, cajeput, ect), a grooming perch (sand, concrete, ect.), a rope perch, a ladder, and and a swing

Plus room for toys, a preening toys, a chewing toys, a foraging toys, ect.

plus have room to move around and flap its wings, if you are the same person who posted earlier your bird will have at least 6 hours a day in the cage, so you want to make sure it can move around...

You might also want to invest in a nice playstand too

thanks, thats my plan, a playstand for room to play. im home everday before band practice so he can have a few hours out of the cage each day

for a cockatiel since they have such long tails I would say that is really pushing it, especially once you factor in perches, toys, and food dishes.. I'd go larger.
