Thumbs up Affordable climbing nets!

These are smallish (good for conure size or so I should think). But at a decent price. If you call, they can probably tell you the rope diameter.

I am cheap when it comes to toys and stands etc. as it gets costly! I make my own.

The net you are talking about you can actually make yourself. Just need time!

Make your own.

I made my own out of bird safe, soft cotton rope from Bird Supply of New Hampshire. They have lots and lots of bird safe rope in different sizes. It breaks apart if a bird should get caught in it, so there is no fear of losing a toe, etc. The cost was under $50 including shipping. Mine is 4' x 8' and my CAG loves it!

Yep... I make a good 90% of my own stuff.

Wait until you see my post tomorrow or this weekend! I am awaiting a box of goodies. I will take pics of the stuff and post later as to what I made with it. I think I really like bigbeaksbirdtoys.com! I called them yesterday and she was so nice and really helpful! She shipped the stuff right out that day. They have a lot of the "chewy" plastic my guys adore. Right now they are gnawing their way through a baby teething ring of keys.

I actually LOVE coming up with new toys for them. I spread it all out on the floor and let them help pick what goes on next!

I know there are some people that just do not want to fuss with such things though.

As creative and artistic (like my son) as I am I have to admit I run out of ideas. Then they some toys end up boring to me sometimes

OH that's a great idea!!! I want to make one now. Is there a certain knot you need to use? Kipper would go nuts over a cargo net.

OMG! That just gave me a brilliant idea! For those of us with smaller birds... what if you took something like one of these quilt racks:

And put a cargo net on the lower rungs, used the top rung as a regular perch, attached a hanging toy holder to the top, and stuck a bin under it as a drop-tray? You could even throw a blankie over it when not in use if you wanted your living room to look halfway normal. Good and sturdy, but admittedly bulky, for a travel stand too!
