Is it easier for them to grip? The only thing with the hard slippery woods is Dewey (my eclectus) tends to fall off since he doesnt hold on that well when he gets preoccupied.

I have an aviary with birds ranging from lovebirds, amazon, conures, indian ringnecks and a macaw and have never had any problems with any of the slipping off of the playstands, also have dragon wood perches that i have made in there cages.

Thanks

Nick

I have a dragonwood perch in my cage and it doesn't SEEM slippery. Also I can't find anywhere saying it is in fact slippery.
All I see is "Hardwood perches can be slippery"
And
"Some manzanita and Guava branches can be slippery"

But also you can just take a knife or dremel and cut grooves and rough up the branches to make it more gripable for an eclectus :)
