New cage! (pictures)

Here is my new cage, I traded my friend the huge corner cage for it.
There was nothing wrong with the corner cage it's great if you have cockatoos or macaws, but unnecessary for an eclectus it's just too hard to move and clean such a huge thing!

I am home most of the day and figured we would enjoy a playtop cage more :)

It's not built as tough as the larger one which is disappointing, I don't think I would choose this over any other playtop unless it was much less expensive.
It's not welded kind of flimsy, and I can jiggle all the bars around.

It's this cage in case anyone is wondering.

I hope to be getting a stainless steel or aluminum cage in the next year or so :)

Which reminds me, does anyone know how good the aluminum cages are? I have heard great things about them but I know aluminum doesn't rust BUT it oxidizes, how long does that take to happen? Is it bad for birds? I don't even know what it means really lol.

okay here are the pictures.

I have a boing hanging from the ceiling above the playtop :)
I didn't know how many toys to put in, I did not want to overcrowd the cage.

Ooo I like it! I like those cages, I think they provide just enough room without having too much room, know what I mean? I know Tiki will love it! I dont have a lot of toys in Neko's cage either, because he has so many toys OUT of his cage. Plus, he rarely shows interest so I dont overcrowd either.

I believe I have the same cage but a larger model. I am very happy with it. Henry pulls the large perches loose, so I had to secure them, but other than that I love it.

I don't think there is a larger model of this cage it's the 36 by 24
The angles I took the pictures at make it look smaller than it really is lol.

I would like to know if there is I would like a slightly larger playtop cage.
when I do get the stainless one I would like to get a slightly larger one without going too much bigger because it's just so much easier to clean in and around a smaller cage.
But then again whats an inch or two considering I only work 3-6 hours a day, he can be on top of the cage or one of the playstands most of the time.

Honestly they give you 3 more inches and charge you 500$ more when you go stainless

Here is mine, the playtop is different, but the pans, doors, and bowls, and latches all look the same:

I bet that's a preview hendrix. It had one but it was only 18x18x36. For Wawa it was way too small, so I sold it.

It should have seed guards with it. They are really done well, they have smooth rounded edges....

I am just not using the seed guards that were with it,
My friend bought it at pet depot, the only tag on it was the bar code which said
"prevue 36" 24"
the paint looks poorly done unless they were just trying to make some odd cage fashion statement. I am trying to decide whether I want to do a lead test on it too just because of how weird the paint job looks to me.

I like the look of that cage floorcandy but how does your bird get up to the playtop perch?
No ladder or anything.
