Hmm is this a good deal?

I'm looking for a new cage for Nitro. He has been mostly cageless til now, but i'm moving into an apartment w/ a new roomie this year, and I don't know how she'll react to him flying everywhere.

LARGE BIRD CAGE - IRON/STEEL - EXCELLENT SHAPE - LIKE NEW

Would it be too small? There is a bird expo coming up November 22nd too. I've never been to one before, so I don't know how good their deals are. Maybe I should haggle?

Cage dimensions:
Height from wheels including removable play-top (Total Hight): 60"
Play-top hight (removeable): 8.5"

Main Cage Width: 24"
Seed-Gaurd Width (removeable): 32.5"

Main Cage Length: 22"
Seed-Gaurd Length (removeable): 30"

Main Cage dimensions (inside of cage): 24"x22"x32"

There is NO WAY they payed 700+ for that (unless it's WAY bigger than it looks)! Do you know the dimensions?

Yeah they were ripped off if they paid 700 dollars for it! Not bad dimensions, but it doesn't look that large. Looks like a 18x18x32. Which I would say would be too small for a green cheek. Either haggle or wait for the show. There are usually pretty good cage prices at the shows. At least the ones that I have been to. I'm waiting fof the show that comes here next weekend to find a cage for my Jardine's. Hopefully I will be able to get a decent one.

What do you think a good haggle price would be? $70? I could probably point her to the ebay ad or something! Otherwise, i'll probably wait for the show. Ahhh i'm so impatient :P

That looks like a Kings or California cage...? If so it might have been quite expensive new, but yeah, probable not $700.

What's the bar spacing? It looked a little big for me, for a GCC, from the pics. Bigger than 1/2 inch?

Have you looked at HQ flight cages? It's been great for Rayne, and the suns. It's the largest cage (length and width) that I've been able to find for the price of $100! They are well built, and I haven't had any issues with them. We now have a total of 4... Rico, Rayne, Papi, and my daughter's bird GCC Cricket.

If the following cages are considered large, then it seems to me as if you just might be out of luck finding a *GOOD* cage...
Large Bird Cage with Supplies
Black large bird cage

With that said, if we go looking around, there may be some deals!
Large bird cage w/ stand and rollers (might be able to find this as cheap as $75 at a bird expo)
Bird Cage (oh looky here!!! oh wait, it appears to be a generic brand... dont know how good it is)

Just might be worth it to wait...
