Cage Hunt.

I wanted to share my experience when I got my last Parrot and the hunt for a Cage. I have California cages, they are heavy duty and made well, but they are out of business. They could not compete with the low cost imports. So I was on a quest to find a new cage for my recent fid. We adopted a rescue from Austin Avian Rescue at J&M Aviary in July, she is a 12 year old severe macaw and is absolutely sweat as she can be. Back to the Cage quest, I checked every where I could to find a used California Cage for her on Craigs List but nothing was available in the size I was looking for.

I checked the various Internet cage sites and had tons of questions on what brand, construction, size etc… I found the following Internet companybirdcageportal.com not only do they have great prices but excellent customer service!! The owner of the company, Shari, personally answered all my questions and helped me choose the best cage for my new baby…

I ended up getting a HQ cage, HQ 90032 – HQ Dome Top Bird Cage 32″ wide x 23″ deep


I have had the cage for almost 3 months now and it is holding up well so far.
