Where have you bought cages?

I ordered the A&E Double-flight from birdscomfort.com finally, but unfortunately they are out of the sand color I had decided on.

So, where else can I order a cage from? Where have you all had good experiences? I picked birdscomfort because they had good prices and a good reputation, and I don't want to order from just any old website/company without knowing if they're reputable.

Thanks!

I have bought all my cages from craigslist, believe it or not. I know some people dont do that because of the fear that there is some disease on the cage but I sanitize insanely well and wash it about 4 times before a birds every in it. I wish I had the money to buy online but the fact of the matter is, craigslist has good deals!!

I DID buy my HQ single flight cage from birdscomfort. I had a great experience with them aside from the fact that some of the paint was coming off (I got white). I since have gotten rid of that cage but I would buy from them again.

They also have the kind that's one on top of the other.

I do check craigslist for cages regularly, but I haven't been able to find the type of cage I'm looking for. Most of the cages made for small birds are too small, and the larger cages typically have bar spacing too large for my tiels and budgie. The only flight cages I seem to find are for finches and much too small. I wish I could find what I was looking for and get a better deal on craigslist, but no luck so far.

Thank you for the link. That is the cage I am looking for, but have you ordered from that website before? What was your experience?

I'm lucky enough to have an independently owned bird store in my neck of the woods and the owner keeps an excellent stock of cages on hand and if there is something else you want she will order it for you. I haven't checked prices against what is available online because I always find her to be fair and I like supporting my local independent stores. I depend on her for a lot of advice so I think it is also important to give her my business when possible in a sense, to show appreciation for the great service she provides to our local parrot community.

The other good thing, I get to see exactly what the cage looks like in person.

I ordered one off of ebay years ago. It was missing several pieces. I ordered one from Silverado Macaw Dometop Bird Cage 3155S Cages Direct . I had no problems at all. Otherwise, I bought them in pet stores or second hand.

I get all of my cages off of e-bay! Only the new cages!! I first do my homework of what kind we like, then compare all the prices then I go to e-bay and guess what .. we found one very close to the one we want and it is half the price. When you are on e-bay, do not forget to add the shipping to the price they are selling it at. Lately, they have been free shipping. Oh and look at the seller, are they a power seller? That helps. I have been happy with every one (and we got 3 cages and a stand) Also look at the sizes, the bar thickness, and all that good stuff , so you can compare it apple to apple..
Anyway, thought I put in my 2 cent!! :) good luck..

Oh I would love having a good bird store around here. I'm sure there must be one... but I don't know where it is!

In my cage search I have found a couple local small bird stores that sound really nice, but I called around and no one so far has carried a cage similar to what I'm looking for. I'm excited to check them out for toys and food though... Petsmart and Petco can be somewhat limited when it comes to bird supplies.

Thanks for the advice! I have never bought anything off ebay, but will have to check it out before I order a cage from elsewhere.

Well, unless I find a better deal, I think I will order it from Walmart! I didn't even know they carried bird cages, but they have the exact cage I have been looking at for only $249.99 with free shipping... by far the cheapest that I have found so far!
