A new cage - Montana Memphis II

I'm going to get Pixel a bigger cage but my options are very limited.
I made an order for this one today and the guy was going to check if he has it in stock or not. If not I have to find something else.

Montana Small Bird Cage Memphis 2

What do you guys think? This a proper size for a lovie?

If you are a UK'er I can give you a link to a good cheap bird cage site. I got my girls a San Diego, that's for two cockatiels, an upgrade from their Maya

Really? You know he's like 5 inches tall, including his tail. ;o) No but seriously, you think it's to small? His old one is way smaller and I've been planing to get a bigger one for months now.

Thanks but I'm in Iceland. Normally shipping from the UK would be a thing to look into but well, you know. The GBP is not our Icelandic Krona's friend at the moment

hmmm, this lovebird breeder on another forum says it's plenty big for a pair, let alone one. Anyone else want to share an opinion?

If in doubt, ALWAYS get the biggest cage you can afford, with the appropriate bar-spacing for your bird size (to avoid putting their head though the bars and breaking their neck panicking if they get stuck)

I would say the San Diego is a good size for my two 'tiels but I don't know the official verdict (it's the big San Diego, not the Mini) but it was the biggest I could afford and the birds like it. Since you can't really import from the UK (is Scotland the closest to you?) is there an Icelandic version of Gumtree or Craiglist? You could get a discount big parrot cage, fix it up, scrub it up and make it a palace for your little lovie :3

I've been checking for a while on the local ad sites but noone's selling big cages for small birds. I tried posting an ad myself in the wanted section and all the answers I'm getting are expensive small cages. I don't think people with small birds really buy the bigger cages here, they're so expensive.

Importing isn't really an option, no matter where it's from. Our currency fell through the roof about a year ago and everything has doubled in price. This particular cage is from an old shipment so it should be at the old price.

That looks like a good cage to me. Since there are so many limitations, I think you will be doing a great thing for Pixel.

I think the cage looks great for a lovebird. That is plenty of room for your little guy. I would love to have ginormous cages for ALL of my birds, but you have to be practical also. This looks like a very nice cage to me.

LOL I had to convert 26" x 17" x 56" and 1/3 bar spacing.
