I think ALL cages should come with parts and panels to get. What if something breaks? I have six chinchillas, not birds but same concept and I needed another panel and a couple of parts but couldn’t get any. They don’t sell them individually. I even called the company. I had to make another cage. If I could get those parts I could have had another cage. They chewed the panels (ledges) off. I could make it a bird cage but the spacing is way too big.

That is a wonderful idea. I wonder if you maybe emailed a few of them and could see if they would be willing to do that. They have to have the materials in bulk, it wouldnt make sense not to.

Cage parts: It comes down to profit and volume of sales.
There is so many different kinds, brands, versions, sizes, colors, etc. of cages out there that a seller would have to have a massive warehouse to stock all those parts. The sale of those parts would be few and far between. They would not generate enough sales to even pay the storage, let alone the cost of the parts. They would go bankrupt immediately if they relied only on selling parts. People very rarely buy cage parts. By the time a cage needs a part, then there are usually other problems too. So they replace the cage. For the most part, we live in a 'replacement' society today. The days of high quality products and the crafts people to repair them are almost a thing of the past. The high quality cages are still out there but the price is not affordable for most bird keepers. |

If you mean parrot cages, like those sold in stores, I don't see a big reason to sell the panels separately... after all, even if they did, you could end up with a bunch of mix-matched parts that don't fit together.
Some companies may sell extra parts, however, such as seed skirts, dishes, dish holders, wheels, perhaps even hardware, separately. With all that said, there *ARE* companies that sell aviary panels individually.... although these may be more expensive than building your own cage.... you can at least design it the way you want without the stress of building it yourself. aviary panels - Google Search Just keep in mind that many of these panels may still have galvanized wire. One of the companies that I was personally interested in was Corners Limited. Not entirely sure why.... Cages, Custom Cages, Eurocage and Aviaries - Corners Limited of West Michigan
