Big enough?

I've had my San Diego for a while now, but I'm always concerned about cage size.

Their previous cage was this one (I know, I know, but it was a huge improvement on their tall cage! Birds aren't helicoptors!)

But during the summer I got them a San Diego

The cage is big with plenty of room for the 'tiels to scramble about and be nosey and shouty. In your personal opinions, is this an okay size for two female cockatiels?

Well you asked for opinions. Mine is that this new cage is not long enough but better than the last cage by far. Best would be a cage that is as long as you possibly have room for in your home or outside, even if you have to suspend one from the ceiling. Now if you provide safe & supervised flight outside the cage in your home daily, then the new cage is fine in my opinion, as long as two cockatiels can fly by each other with wings fully spread.

If they are both getting plenty of out of cage time than I would say that cage is fine. Neko's cage is what most would say small for him. However, he is outside of it so much that is perfect. He only is in it to sleep so, if that is the case with YOUR birds, than I would say this cage is fine. If your birds are generally in their cage a lot then they need a larger one, especially being fully flighted (I got the feeling that they are).

Abbey's cage is to small but she only sleeps in it so it works for now. She will be getting a huge cage soon. My hubby has talked me into waiting till we get to Florida so it will be a easier move. he sucks...lol

Those dimensions (33.5" X 19") are about the size of the HQ flight cage everyone raves about (32" X 21"). I can't recall seeing a larger cage that still has the appropriate bar spacing for a cockatiel. I know I have heard of people keeping 2 cockatiels in the HQ flight cage.
