Safe Cages

I wasn't so worried about it before but I've been reading about some cages being made in China-and the lead in the paint being really high. Where is a good place to shop for cages now days? I use to use places like foster and smith and pet solutions, but how do you know which manufacturers do imports? I need a cage for the ekkie we will be getting and I want to get a new one for chico a few months after that as well. Any suggestions?

The cage I adopted my bird with was painted and iron. I went and bought a Powder coated cage with stainless latch. powder coating is very strong and wont come off like paint. I ordered mine through superpets in ottawa for 899.99 CAN.

Almost all of the popular cage makers (HQ, KIngs, and etc.) build thier cages in China. its less expensive there. they are high quality powder coated.

I am also searching for a cage

Which manufacturers are considered safe?

It is so confusing for the newbies. How do you find a safe cage? Do you need to test them for metals once you get them?

Thanks!
