Older Caiques
I have reached the point in my life where I can provide a stable home for a parrot. I love caiques, and have played with many in pet stores, but baby parrots are all the same. I want the low down on the older ones. I grew up with a cockatoo and a peach fronted conure so I have experience training and raising parrots. I am also looking at Sengals or other POI's. Are there any problems particular to either as grown ups? I work 10-6 so does one do better by alone during the day? Does one need more strict training, or is one more prone to screaming, biting... I want the dirt, give the parrot gossip.

Thanks for the response. I am looking to possibly rehome. I hand raised my cockatoo and had the fun of a baby, I watched both my previous birds go through maturity and begin nesting. I would love to give an unwanted parrot a for ever home.

Rehoming is a great way to go. When we lost our tag last year I came in contact with a great guy that only fosters and takes in birds in need of a home. He's big into PHOENIX LANDING
